Olly Hewitt-Fisher <\/strong>– https:\/\/upikebears.com\/sports\/mens-soccer\/roster\/coaches\/oliver-hewitt-fisher\/1012<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2011 Boys <\/mark><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andy Harrison<\/strong> – Originally from Sunderland, England, attended and played soccer at the University of Charleston, WV, from 2012 to 2016. Over the past eight years, he has coached youth travel teams with FC Alliance, USL 2 with WV United, and WV ODP for the last five seasons. Recently, Andy earned his USSF B License in coaching and moved into coach education, completing and now leading the US Soccer D License program in the WV area. With his coaching experience and educator background, Andy founded Soccer SIS, a nonprofit organization that supports and inspires female athletes and coaches in West Virginia. Soccer SIS encourages younger players to stay engaged and helps older players build coaching skills in a fun, supportive environment. Andy currently leads FCA teams 2011G, 2012B, 2013G, and 2015G, and he looks forward to rejoining the ODP program for the 2025 season!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andy Hornbeak <\/strong>resides in Martinsburg, WV, and holds a USSF D License. He played at Musselman High School in Berkeley County, WV, and served as the head coach from 2020 to 2024. Additionally, he was an assistant coach with West Virginia Soccer\u2019s MLS Next teams during their inaugural season. Currently, Andy is the head coach of the 2010 boys’ team, which serves as a feeder team for the MLS Next team, and the head coach of the 2009 girls’ team, which is emerging as a strong contender for State Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2012 Boys <\/span><\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todd McClure <\/strong>is a native of West Virginia who grew up playing soccer at both the club and Olympic Development Program levels. He was a multiple-state champion at Parkersburg High School before continuing his soccer career at Marshall University. Todd began coaching in 2018, holds<\/span> a USSF C License, and is now in his third year coaching for the Olympic Development Program in West Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Crooks<\/strong> – Originally from Oxford, England where he played academy soccer for Oxford United FC, he joined the WVU men’s soccer team in 2020 as a freshman. He spent four years in Morgantown, competing at the Division I level, reaching the Elite Eight in 2021 and the Final Four in 2023. He now serves as the head coach of the 2012 BVB girls’ team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ray Kryzak –<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Todd McClure –<\/strong> is a native of West Virginia who grew up playing soccer at both the club and Olympic Development Program levels. Samuel Varghese <\/strong>– Originally from Kochi, one of India’s soccer\/football hubs, Samuel has always had a deep passion for sports, athletics, and mentoring. Although he officially began his soccer coaching career in 2022, Samuel has been coaching informally for nearly as long as he\u2019s been playing. Growing up in a time and place where organized sports were rare, young people in his community created their own opportunities to play, learning the game by teaching and challenging each other. Like many children of his generation, Samuel picked up soccer\u2014as well as cricket, badminton, and volleyball\u2014by playing with peers who had more experience. By age 8, he began mentoring newer players on his team. This blend of playing, learning, and coaching informally continued throughout his school years, college, and into his professional career as a teacher, social worker, and non-profit administrator. In 2023, Samuel earned his National D license from the US Soccer Federation and began coaching recreational and competitive soccer for U8 to U12 teams in the US. This marked the culmination of his years of informal experience as a player and “peer mentor.” Additionally, it allowed him to repurpose his background in education and social work. After spending years working to transform a traditional, teacher-centered rural Indian education system into one focused on students, Samuel now applies the same principles in the USSF\u2019s player-centered Youth Soccer environment. The player-centered philosophy aligns closely with his personal values and experiences. His training sessions are dynamic and engaging, where he relates to his players as peers and encourages them to develop creativity and independence, helping them become “little coaches” on the field. He currently coaches at Putnam United FC in Hurricane, WV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
