Please use your LEGAL name (no nicknames, there is a box for your preferred name), your current mailing address, and an email address that will be checked often.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may be prompted to complete a background check acknowledgement. This is a legal requirement for the system but is NOT an actual background check. You will need to complete a background check (if 18+) as one of your assignments within your course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next screen, answer the Legal Question, verify that the&nbsp;<strong>Referee<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Recertification<\/strong>&nbsp;boxes are checked and select&nbsp;<strong>Submit Request<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>NOTE:<\/strong>&nbsp;If the&nbsp;<strong>Registration Type<\/strong>&nbsp;says&nbsp;<strong>New Referee<\/strong>, do not proceed and contact your state administrator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Reserve Clinic<\/strong>&nbsp;button next to the appropriate Recertification clinic and select the&nbsp;<strong>Continue to Next Step<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will then be directed to the next page \u2013 Checkout to Pay the Associated Fees. Here you will see the breakdown of the course fees. You MUST pay the ENTIRE fee at once. After confirming the total, click \u201cComplete Requests and Pay Fees\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After clicking the \u201cComplete Requests and Pay Fees\u201d, select the&nbsp;<strong>Click Here to Pay&nbsp;<\/strong>button. Here you will fill out the payment information to finalize your registration. Once the payment is processed, you will receive an email receipt to your primary email address on file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.&nbsp;Once you have registered for a course, you will see your registered clinic in a new box on your member homepage. To begin, select the&nbsp;<strong>Online Lessons&nbsp;<\/strong>button next to the clinic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For some of these assignments, you will be directed to go to the US Soccer Learning Center. Please use the same account in the Learning Center that you have previously used. Once you complete an assignment in the Learning Center, you can go back to OMS and the system will update with your completed process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must complete all of the online lessons within OMS before you are eligible for recertification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Background Check \u2013 If you need to complete a background check, you will do so within the US Soccer Learning Center. The background check is an additional $23 that you will pay directly through the Learning Center assignment. Your results will be valid for 2 years. If you have completed a background check for the 2025 registration year (Fall 2024-Spring 2025), you DO NOT have to complete a background check this year \u2013 you will receive email updates from US Soccer when you need to renew your background check.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3. Once you have completed all assignments, your certification will be finalized, and you will receive your patch in the mail. Your certification will be valid until December 31, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Email&nbsp;<\/strong><a
