Competition for places in our RDA team model is extremely high so we recommend signing up for a tryout soon. The RDA City team model offers competitive teams from the U8 through the U18 age groups on both the boys and girls side. You can read all about the league structure, tryout dates, and age group change below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current RDA Players don&#8217;t need to sign up for tryouts. These groups also take part in local friendlies and opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the tryout dates below a player can register for one \/ two \/ three or four dates. <strong><u>Each<\/u><\/strong> tryout date selected will cost $20. It is the preference of the family if a player decides to sign up for one or multiple. Additional details will be shared closer to the tryout period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Team Formation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because teams have historically been formed using birth-year groupings, some roster adjustments may occur as teams transition to the new format. Player placement will continue to be evaluated each year through the tryout process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Playing Up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Playing up will remain an option when it is determined to be beneficial for a player\u2019s development. These decisions will continue to be made by RDA Directors. Under the current birth year format, we do have players that are playing up (in age) and this will certainly still be an option under the new format. There are some players that need accelerated development and this will not go away.
