Barbosa joins Hearts after leaving G\u017cira United F.C. of the Maltese Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After coming through some of Portugal\u2019s premier academies, including Porto, Benfica, and Sporting Lisbon, Barbosa began his senior career in 2015 with SC Uni\u00e3o Torreense in the fourth tier of Portuguese soccer. After four years in Portugal\u2019s lower divisions, including stints with UD Vilafranquense and CS Mar\u00edtimo B, Barbosa moved to Dulwich Hamlet in England\u2019s National League South for the 2019\u201320 campaign. He then played across Europe and beyond, featuring in Cyprus, Australia, Bulgaria, and Malta before arriving in Portland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
