Get ready for the next chapter, Battle on the Border 2026 is here. Replacing the Futures Cup, this all-new event brings top teams from Tennessee and Georgia to Alabama for an action-packed weekend of elite competition, teamwork, and unforgettable moments. The Alabama Soccer Association hosts Battle on the Border as an extension of our Spring State Cup. Age groups U7-U19 and all affiliations are welcome to apply!

General Information
Battle on the border is a competitive, small-sided 7V7/9V9 soccer tournament designed to maximize touches, speed of play, and fun. Teams from across the region compete for the title of Battle on the Border Champion.
U7-U10 – 7V7 (7v7 Field), U11-U12 – 9V9 (9v9 field), U13-U19 – 7V7 (9v9 field).
All matches consist of 25-minute halves.
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
Boys & Girls teams in the listed age groups are welcome. Teams from across the region are encouraged to join.
Team & Roster Information
Create a team using players that have been registered through a soccer organization. Split your current teams into multiple squads or form a team with your high school teammates/friends after the season.
7v7 – 14 players, 9v9 – 16 players, High school – 14 players
Schedule & Event Details
Schedule will be released on May 4th.
Team check-in will be online before the event. You will upload your player IDs on Gotsport.
Costs & Registration
U7-U10 – $500, U11-U12 – $550, U13-U19 – $625
Early registration opens April 1-11th ($75 off ), Registration closes April 24th
